About Us, Ordering Process, FAQs
About Us:
Hi! We're Sunday Roast, a small-scale coffee roaster based in Los Angeles and comprised of two good pals, Finlay Allardice & Laura Parada.
We share a passion for making espresso at home and have found that there's nothing better than freshly roasted coffee beans. This inspired us to create Sunday Roast!
Ordering Process:
- We'll send you an email & post on Instagram at the beginning of every month, notifying you that the ordering window has opened and that you can place your order via our website. Orders will stay open for around a week.
- After we have received your orders and the deadline has passed, we will get to roasting!
- After we roast, we let the beans rest for around a week to let the flavor fully develop and ensure the best product possible.
- Based on the 2025 Schedule shown below, your orders will be ready for local pick-up, local delivery, or will be shipped promptly to get them to you as soon as possible.
Make sure to follow along on our Instagram (@sundayroast_coffee) for regular updates on ordering and behind the scenes content of our roasting process!
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. I live in Los Angeles, can you deliver my beans to my door? Yes! We will be offering free local delivery for all orders over $40, within a 15-mile radius of 90042.
2. Will you be offering monthly subscriptions? Absolutely! The product pages on our website will offer you the chance to create a monthly subscription, meaning you will not have to go through the order process each month.
3. I don't live in the United States, will I still be able to order? Yes, however we are beholden to the shipping rates offered via Shopify and this can sometimes be prohibitive to smaller order values. We are exploring alternative shipping methods to ensure that our beans are available to the rest of the world at the most efficient price point.
4. Why can't I place an order at any time? We are a super small team of two, so initially we're going to stick with the ordering method as outlined in the 2025 Schedule shown below. This allows us to manage inventory in the best manner and ensure that you receive the freshest beans.
5. Will you be offering both whole bean coffee and ground coffee? Yes! When ordering via our website, you will have the option to select either whole bean or ground (fine, medium, coarse) for your coffee.
